Management Team

The Meridian partners have over one hundred years of combined experience in early stage company development. They have all participated in founding and developing a series of successful start up technology companies. Their experience includes funding development, extensive company growth including M & A efforts, and development of senior executive management and teams.

Art Monk, General Partner: artm@meridianep.com Art has over 30 years of experience in fund-raising, business development, start-up operations, and high-tech marketing. He held VP positions at Keyword, Saba, PointBase, TransImage, and was CEO at eZedia. His consulting assignments include Hughes, Applied Materials, Lockheed, Apple & Fujitsu. His early career was built at HP and ROLM. Art received his B.S. (Hons.) and M.S. from the University of Manitoba: & M.B.A., Ph.D. (Candidate) from the University of Alberta, Canada.

Bill Sweet, Senior Advisor: bills@meridianep.com Bill has over 30 years experience in technology companies. Bill is a crypto security expert and a founder of CrypTEC Systems, a secure smart card operating system company, and Viaquo, an Internet crypto security firm. He held key senior positions at General Electric, Concurrent Computer, National Semiconductor, Zilog, General Automation, Atalla, and Trusted Information Systems. Bill is also the founder of Technology Marketing Consultants (TMC) a seventeen-year successful management-consulting firm. He is currently CEO of Viaquo Corporation, and serves on the Meridian Advisory Board. Mr. Sweet received his BS, Electrical Engineering (with honors), and MS, Industrial Administration (MBA), from Purdue University.
